what is Loneliness?

Definition of Loneliness
While common definitions of loneliness describe it as a state of solitude or being alone, loneliness is actually a state of mind. Loneliness is defined by researchers as feeling lonely more than once a week.1

Loneliness causes people to feel empty, alone, and unwanted. People who are lonely often crave human contact, but their state of mind makes it more difficult to form connections with other people. Loneliness, according to many experts, is not necessarily about being alone. Instead, if you feel alone and isolated, then that is how loneliness plays into your state of mind.

For example, a college freshman might feel lonely despite being surrounded by roommates and other peers. A soldier beginning their military career might feel lonely after being deployed to a foreign country, despite being constantly surrounded by other troop members.
Saintly people say solitude has quality for revealing the deep secrets of life to make a diamond out of mind of carbon nature. Well this does not mean we should not enjoy worldly life and material desire.

In your case loneliness has come out of natural way I presume which could be for having shy and introvert nature.

In case you desire to mix and change the first foot has to be taken by you and no other would force upon.

You could be having certain fear which is preventing for the first step.

Thus there could be few options ahead like,

1. Identify the fear stopping and try to know if there is any rationality of really being scared. Shyness itself could be causing fear and it could be self-consciousness acting as resistance. Self-conscious people always think in various ways for how would other think or feel if I am wearing such and such way, if I am eating such and such way or what others might of the way I think or if I laugh where I should not ………………. this is endless.

We need to remove what others would think from our mind and this nature tries to make a clash against being normal which is the best way to be and present to others. Remember every human is unique and when we behave our natural way we come out with it. Everyone has certain salient quality and some imperfection and till we are ready to accept our own imperfection and modify there should be no fear.

2. However said so it still haunts to make a change we can try to harness the skills that could attract and bring them closer if we cannot go to them.

Introvert have a keen observation sense relative to extrovert and so their reasoning power is higher but they are not ready to use as a challenge because in this subjective world it does not mean much at any point. To strengthen we should cultivate hobbies that does not need another company at least for the time we are busy in the activity. There are infinite activities of such nature like singing songs or playing musical instruments, it could be painting and so many others. Also make a point of reading good books that include autobiographies and books of saintly people. Scripture can add taste to the mind gradually and so can be added with time. Hard books are preferable so that reading with time keeps the link when we read last.

These habits with time could certainly make your inner shine, improve the self-confidence and could make you a good orator with sufficient matter to talk quoting of great masters and leaders.

It is not only speaking in front of other but self-confidence would excel in profession you be at that moment of time.
